In late 2007, Covington, in partnership with Forest City Enterprises (through its Land Group) acquired over 2500 lots in various stages of development from Standard Pacific Homes in San Antonio, TX. Covington/Forest City acted as Standard Pacific was exiting the San Antonio market, and completed due diligence on holdings in over 14 subdivisions scattered across the metro area in less than 2 weeks. The partnership intends to complete the buildout of certain properties for disposition to other builders in the market over the next several years.
